BMW protected with paint protection film by ProWrap Cyprus

PAINT PROTECTION FILM

PPF THAT PROTECTS THE PAINT YOU PAID FOR

Paint Protection Film is an ultra-clear, self-healing polyurethane layer bonded to your car's paint. It absorbs stone chips, road debris, insect etching and light scratches — so your factory finish stays perfect underneath. Available in gloss, matte and coloured variants.

WHY IT MATTERS

KEY BENEFITS

Stone-Chip Protection

Absorbs impacts from gravel, insects and road debris that would otherwise chip your paint.

Self-Healing Top Coat

Light scratches and swirl marks disappear with heat from the sun or warm water.

Hydrophobic Finish

Repels water, mud and stains — your car stays cleaner and easier to wash.

5-Year Warranty

Manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking and delamination when professionally installed.

What is PPF, and why does your car need it?

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent thermoplastic urethane film, roughly 200 microns thick, applied over painted panels. It's the same technology originally developed to protect military helicopter blades — now refined for automotive use. On Cyprus roads, where gravel, hot asphalt and coastal salt are constants, PPF is the single most effective way to keep a new car looking new. Unlike a ceramic coating (which is a hardness-boosting nano-layer), PPF is a physical shield — it takes the hit so your paint doesn't have to.

Our PPF packages

Front Risk Zone — the highest-impact areas: full front bumper, full hood, front fenders, mirrors and headlights. The most popular choice for daily drivers and long-distance touring cars. Full Gloss PPF — every painted panel covered in ultra-clear gloss film. Preserves the factory shine and gives complete peace of mind for premium and collector cars. Full Matte PPF — instantly converts glossy paint to a modern satin/matte look while adding total-body protection. Two effects in one install. Full Colour PPF — protection plus a full colour change, using coloured PPF instead of vinyl. Longer warranty and thicker protection than a standard wrap.

Installation & workshop process

PPF is precision work — the film is pattern-cut per vehicle model, aligned by hand, and wrapped around edges wherever possible so no seams are visible from normal viewing distance. Our workshop is climate-controlled and dust-filtered, and every install includes: • Full decontamination wash and clay-bar • Optional single-stage paint correction to remove existing swirls before the film goes on • Bulk Cut method for excellent coverage; Pattern matched method for interior and trims • Edge-wrapping where trim allows • 24-hour cure before the car leaves the workshop We use films from tier-1 manufacturers with 5-year warranties against yellowing, cracking and delamination.

PPF vs ceramic coating — which do you need?

They solve different problems. Ceramic coatings make the paint harder, more hydrophobic and easier to clean — but they will not stop a stone chip. PPF is a physical barrier that absorbs impacts and heals swirl marks, but it doesn't add the same water-beading gloss as a ceramic on its own. The best protection for premium cars is PPF on the front risk zone (or full body) topped with a ceramic coating — that's the setup we recommend and install most often.

FAQ

COMMON QUESTIONS

How long does PPF last?

Premium PPF carries a 5-year warranty and typically performs well for 7+ years when maintained properly.

Is PPF visible?

Gloss PPF is virtually invisible, while matte and coloured PPF are designed to transform your vehicle’s appearance.

Can PPF be removed?

Yes. Professionally installed PPF removes cleanly and leaves the underlying paint unharmed, provided the paint is original and in good condition.

How long does installation take?

Front risk zone: 1–2 days. Full-body PPF: 5–8 working days depending on the vehicle and level of prep.
